Are you wondering what chords to learn first?

Take a look at the guitar lessons in the Blog for some introductory chord exercises, or go to the Free Guitar Lessons page for some scale exercises for beginners.  I also have a book for sale that gives you specific chord exercises to start with, and then develops your ability to play with increasingly hard chords.  You can find more information about this book on the “Guitar Chord Book” page.

Looking for easy songs to play on the guitar?

Check out the Easy Guitar Song Library for lists of songs you can play based on what chords you know, or what style of playing you’re interested in.  There are power chord and guitar riff songs for electric guitar players, and fingerpicking and strumming songs for acoustic guitarists.  Also, I do occasional blog posts about easy songs by popular bands like the Beatles, or the Rolling Stones, and then add those songs to the library.
